Anna's Page in Time...
Anna (the face behind Paige in Thyme Photography) contacted me towards the end of last year saying she needed some updated photos of herself to use for her website. She suggested we do a session swap and as uncomfortable as I am in front of the camera I thought it was a great idea! Fast forward a few extremely busy months for both of us and last week on a warm but very windy evening, we both met up as well as our mutual friend Stacey (Wee Welsh Design) who ended up being our assistant / stylist for the night and went location hunting in and around Wanaka.
After driving around for a while we found the PERFECT location and we spent the rest of the
evening light taking photos of each other, being silly, laughing, feeling awkward, almost falling over slippery rocks, weaving in and out of bushes and trees, laughing, getting cold feet, admiring cute little ducklings and...did I mention laughing?!
We had HEAPS of fun! So much fun that we have discussed doing a family session swap too, keep an eye out for that in the not too distant future. For now, enjoy these photos of Paige in Thyme's gorgeous Anna...
I strongly believe that although photos are extremely important to have, not every photographer is the right fit for every person. I feel that looking around and doing research beforehand is just as important. Some people may choose a photographer based on budget, some go by a photographers style or experience whereas, others prefer to go with someone they know, so they can feel more relaxed in front of the camera. Whatever the reason is, I understand that I may not be the perfect fit for some people.
