Meeting Cassius

Rewind to a couple of years ago....I had not long visited Lake Hawea for the first time and I instantly fell in love with the lake there! All I could think about was how much I'd love to do a maternity session with someone standing in the water. I didn't think I would have any interest at that time because it was nearly Winter and the water was FREEZING but Leonie was up for the challenge and we spent one evening cooling our feet to numbing point and taking a few photos at the same time. She was AMAZING!

2 years later, Leonie sent me a message saying she was wanting to get some family photos taken with their little boy Cassius (How cool is that name?!). Of course I said yes! It was great to catch up with her, Cody and to meet the baby behind the bump from our previous session -isn't he absolutely adorable! Cassius loved throwing stones in the lake - so much that he didn't have any interest at all in looking at me. After a few side on photos, the only option was for me to get in the lake and take photos in between the stone throwing. Karma? Maybe?! Totally worth it though!
