We Are Family...

This session started as most sessions do, Keri contacted me and asked if I could take some photos of her family. What made it different is that I am part of her family, however the day of her session would be the first time we'd ever meet. Something pretty amazing happened approximately 2 years ago. I learned that my father had found his birth mother and that she was alive and well! Not only that, but we have a huge big family we never knew about! I'd seen bits and pieces of TV programmes where families find their long lost and distant family members, but to have it happen in real life was incredible! To make things even better, most of them lived close enough to visit them without having to fly anywhere. Just over a year ago, I traveled with Dad to meet some of them - complete strangers at that stage, but somehow it felt as though I had known them my whole life. Recently, they had a bit of a family reunion including some other family members I had yet to meet. Keri and her children were some of them so when she contacted me to ask if I'd take some photos for her while I was visiting, I was more than happy to do that...and that, we did! Meet Keri and her wonderful children Keilah, Luna, Aurora, Damien, Kane & his girlfriend Devon.
